Four badge types, one clear answer.
After running a check, each DUA, MIL and SAN cell shows a colour-coded badge. Click any badge to open the detailed Focus Viewer with the full regulatory context.
The four badge types
IDLE — not yet screened
The row has been added but the check has not run yet. Click Run on the row or All in the header to start screening.
NOT LISTED — no restrictions identified
The screened commodity was not found on the applicable control lists for the specified origin and destination. No explicit restrictions identified within the scope of the checked regulatory frameworks.
Click the badge to confirm which frameworks were checked.
HITS — restrictions or sanctions identified
The number shows how many matching entries were found on the control lists. Click the badge to open the Focus Viewer and examine each hit in detail, including the exact classification code and the legal text that triggered the match.
A hit requires further compliance assessment before export.
ERROR — screening could not be completed
Two common causes: (1) Invalid or non-existent HS/CAS code. (2) The selected combination of jurisdiction and regime is not included in your current subscription plan. Click the badge to see the exact error message from the STC engine.
Fix the code or check your subscription scope, then re-run the row.
The Focus Viewer
Click any badge (including NOT LISTED) to open the Focus Viewer — a detailed breakdown of the screening result for that row and regime.
Hit classification
The exact control list classification that triggered the hit — e.g. 1C350.46 or ML1.a — with the full descriptive text of the controlled item.
Slideshow navigation
When multiple hits exist, navigate between them with the ‹ and › buttons. Each slide shows one hit with its specific regulatory context.
Regulations button
Click Regulations to expand the full regulatory framework — all legal texts that were checked. The matching regulation is highlighted in blue; others are shown for completeness and auditability.
Source link
Click Source to open the official legal document (EUR-Lex or equivalent) directly in a new tab — your primary reference for compliance documentation.
Letters in the hit code (e.g. A-1-C|1C350.46) reference the regulatory framework:
REGULATION (EU) 2021/821 — Dual-Use
52021R0821
COMMISSION DELEGATED REG. (EU) 2025/2003
32025R2003
The highlighted letter (A) is the regulation that produced the hit. All listed regulations were searched — this proves comprehensive analysis to an auditor.
Hide green filter
When processing large Excel batches, the table can fill up with green (NOT LISTED) rows. Use the Hide green filter to focus on what matters.
- 1 Click the gear icon ⚙ in the toolbar
- 2 Select Hide green
- 3 All rows where DUA, MIL and SAN are all green are hidden instantly
- 4 Select Show all to restore all rows
Only hidden — not deleted
Rows hidden by the filter are still included in the PDF audit report. The filter is a display tool only — it does not affect the data or the export.
